![]() ![]() Use obstacles to move closer than normal. Play around the vision system, to get the drop on Nurgles minions. Your Brothers have a warp detection range, where you can see the enemy patrols beforehand, so regroup before triggering combat. ![]() Don't run forward with all of your AP on a single Knight and trigger combat while all other Astartes are too far away to do anything. Once you get a few promotions your tactical options will expand and therefore the difficulty shrinks. The first fights without skills are the worst. Anyway Purifiers are among the advanced classes so you're not gonna see one for a while. Purifiers suck, the only good one is Garran Crowe, but he's DLC and doesn't level up. forgot one, it should be obvius by how the game plays but I've seen too many people cry about it: rotate your knights, make them all level up, you're only hurting yourself otherwise, especially in the late game (which I'm not gonna spoil). But when you're actually playing, rely only on manual saves. it should be obvius by now, but the auto-save system sucks and it's useful only if you need to close the game as fast as possible, none of your progress will be lost (usually). Saving before movement helps if you unintentionally reveal them. Try to get all of your knights as close as possible, and eventually using the Aegis Shield if they still have surplus AP, before revealing the enemy in such a way. since you need to get as close as possible, pay attention to when you are revealing a group of enemies: when you do it on your turn, all of your Knight's AP get restored (usually) if there are no other enemies already revealed (in other words, if you go from "exploration" to combat, it doesn't work if you are already in combat). Close that gap as fast as possible (see Interceptor's teleport ability, and later in the game the Gate of Infinity stratagem and the Librarian's awesome mass teleport) and/or have a Purgator with long range weapons (psilencer is particularly good since you can unlock an ability to ignore partial cover and upgrade the range) for being a game that encourages CQC, all the non melee-only enemies sure do love to run as far away from you to destroy your knighs at a distance. ![]() always save before a mission, always save at the start of a mission, use most of the other saves to keep some "safe points" to return to if stuff goes bad try to ignore Glorious Deeds for now, unless you're sure you can do them ![]()
